What we have planned?
Phase 1 of the external repairs and re-decoration is now complete. In 2020 external repairs and re-decoration will continue with phase 2.
In order to keep the financial burden on owners as manageable as possible it was proposed for the 2 storey blocks to overcap fascias and replace gutters to the top floors only in the first phase. The second phase will be to replace fascias, soffits and gutters to the ground floors. The studio blocks had all works completed in phase 1. The corner blocks had works completed to the elevations requiring scaffolding. Phase 2 of these blocks will be undertaken from scissor lifts or cherry pickers. Blocks will be prioritised for work after taking into account existing reserves and debtors. The works will comply with S20 procedures meaning owners will be consulted, can nominate their own contractor and will be fully aware of all costs before works start. Additional contributions from owners may be required.
The damaged panels in the entry doors and screens will continue to be repaired.
The car park outside Block 29 will be resurfaced along with the pathways in Cook Square.
